Benefits and Fundraisers
Nightingale hosts a number of benefits throughout the year to raise money for the Nightingale Scholarship Fund. Part of what makes the Nightingale-Bamford community so strong is the ongoing commitment to offering our girls the best education possible in an enlightened and diverse environment. Benefits and fundraisers such as the Fair and Authors' Night are crucial to helping us achieve our goals as one of the leading independent girls' schools in the country.
Authors' Night at the Book Fair
The Book Fair is held every spring for Kindergarten through Class XII. A wide variety of book titles are selected by the school's librarians, teachers, and fair chairs. The fair is intended as a service to Nightingale families to facilitate the purchase of appropriate summer reading materials.
Authors' Night showcases all members of the Nightingale community who have published a book in the previous year. Over cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, visitors are given the opportunity to meet the authors and have them sign books.
Each year, in November or December, we host a trunk show at the schoolhouse featuring booths from neighborhood stores and alumnae vendors. The event is a perfect opportunity for the community members to kickstart their holiday shopping and support Nightingale while doing so—a percentage of all sales directly benefit our students.
