What contact details will others be able to view? Is my personal information safe and secure?
Your information is only available to other alumnae. Alumnae are verified against our official database before getting access, so your info is secure. If you do not wish to share certain details with others, just click "Suggest an Update" at the bottom of your record. In order to access this information, alumnae need to be verified against our official Nightingale database, meaning that your contact information will only be available to official alumnae of the Nightingale-Bamford School. If you would like to hide certain information, please see below for a step-by-step guide.
How do I log in?
Once you download the app and reach the log-in screen, you will only need to enter your name and preferred e-mail address. Once that information is verified in the system, you'll receive an e-mail with a few simple steps. If for some reason your email is address is not accepted, a staff member from the advancement office will contact you to help. After your first successful log-in, your details will be saved and you will not be required to log in again.
Can I hide my contact information on my profile in the app?
The short answer is yes! Click “Update My Profile” at the bottom of your record to request the specific details that you would like to hide from other users (phone number, address, etc.) However, please note that your name and class year cannot be hidden—both will be displayed regardless of your settings.
How do I connect the app with my personal LinkedIn account?
The Nightingale app not only allows alumnae to connect via the directory, but it also provides users with the opportunity to professionally network with each other using LinkedIn. You can easily connect your personal LinkedIn account with the app directory by clicking the “Log in to LinkedIn for enhanced profiles” button. Don't forget to list Nightingale in your education information on your LinkedIn profile and connect with our Nightingale Alumnae LinkedIn group!
When I use the "Nearby" feature, is it possible to locate alumnae outside of my current location?
Yes, you can find alumnae anywhere in the world—they don't have to be located within a certain distance from your current locale. When you're using the feature, simply tap the magnifying glass in the bottom right corner of the map. This will allow you to search for a specific city, state, country, or street address. To manually zoom, place your fingers on the screen and stretch them towards opposite corners of the phone. Zoom in and out to reveal alumnae in that designated area—each pin that appears represents a Nightingale alumna.
Is it possible to obtain a complete list of alumnae in my graduating class?
Yes! Visit the Alumnae Directory and search by your class year. Your entire class list will appear.
