Diversity Organizations

Student organizations such as the Inclusivity Board and the Environmental Board of Student Council, CAFE, Spectrum, the Asian Culture Club, the Criminology Club, the Environmental Issues Club, the Performing Arts Club, and the Women’s Rights Club are especially effective, student-led means of examining the excitement, complexity, and challenges of living in a multicultural society. These groups organize field trips, bring speakers to the schoolhouse, and hold their own panels and group discussions.

Parent involvement in PODOC (Parents of Daughters of Color) and Parents of CAFE is another important element of school life and allows for interaction among a broad range of parents and the exchange of information and ideas that help to make Nightingale a community that is sensitive to, and eager to benefit from, all of its members.
