Lower School Fun During Global Running Day

On Wednesday, June 5, all Lower School students participated in a run along Central Park's bridle path as part of Global Running Day. Started in 2016 and held annually on the first Wednesday in June, Global Running Day is a worldwide celebration of the sport of running. This year's effort took place in 177 countries and recorded over 178,000 miles run.

For each 1/4 mile run, Lower School students were awarded with bracelet prizes. Though the total distance per runner varied grade to grade, the average distance run by Nightingale Kindergarteners was a full mile.

Congratulations to everyone who ran!
