Science Seminar is an Upper School science elective course open to Nightingale students in Classes X–XII by invitation only. In this pass/fail course that meets once per schedule cycle, students are exposed to current science research through peer and professional presentations. Each student is responsible for presenting once per year on a scientific topic of her choosing, and older students who have already participated in primary science research have the opportunity to mentor younger students in this area. Students who have been accepted into the Independent Science Research Program must enroll in Science Seminar each academic year they are part of the program; other students are invited to attend as space permits.
If you are interested in enrolling in Science Seminar without participating in the entirety of the Independent Science Research Program (ISRP), please complete the form below to add your name to the waiting list. ISRP students are given priority for this class, but then students will be admitted by seniority as space permits.
