We are thrilled to announce that Nightingale alumna, actress, and New York Times bestselling author Isabel Gillies '88 will address the Class of 2015 at Nightingale's annual Commencement Exercises on June 4, 2015. She joins a list of distinguished individuals who have addressed our graduating seniors, including, most recently, Sheryl WuDunn, Kerry Washington, Arianna Huffington, and Dr. Ruth Westheimer.

We are thrilled to announce that Nightingale alumna, actress, and New York Times bestselling author Isabel Gillies '88 will address the Class of 2015 at Nightingale’s annual Commencement Exercises on June 4, 2015. She joins a list of distinguished individuals who have addressed our graduating seniors, including, most recently, Sheryl WuDunn, Kerry Washington, Arianna Huffington, and Dr. Ruth Westheimer. 

A lifelong New Yorker, Ms. Gillies is a graduate of the Nightingale-Bamford School and NYU Tisch School of the Arts. As an actress, she is best known for her role as Kathy Stabler on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, but she worked in the industry for 25 years, appearing in many TV shows, as well as films such as Sex In the City and Metropolitan. She is the New York Times bestselling author of Happens Every Day, A Year and Six Seconds, and Starry Night, a young adult novel about first love. Her work has been published in Vogue, The New York Times, Real Simple, Cosmopolitan and Saveur. She lives in Manhattan with her husband, kids, and Maude the dog.
