Bassless Accusations, Nightingale's student-run a cappella group, triumphed at Horace Mann's annual Acappellooza competition on Friday, April 20, 2012. They were awarded Best Ensemble for renditions of "Telephone" by Lady Gaga and Avril Lavigne's "Sk8er Boi."

"What a thrill it was to know that all our early morning and Sunday afternoon rehearsals paid off!" said Bassless Musical Director Solveig Gold '13. Click here for a link to their award-winning performance, and be sure to check out their shiny, new trophy next time you pass through the blue doors.

ABOUT BASSLESS ACCUSATIONS
We’ve been accused of many things: talent, beauty, brains. All we can say is, guilty as charged. When not performing, the young women of Bassless Accusations can be found curing the common cold, writing the Great American Novel, and occasionally attending classes at the Nightingale-Bamford School. We have just returned from a tour of Italy and Croatia, where we are now celebrities thanks to a gig on Istrian TV. After a recent performance there, the Croatian newspaper Glas Istre praised us: “dok su scenski nastup potencirale u idućem, kada je publika mogla čuti, između ostalog, ‘Bassless Accusations.’” 'Nuff said.
