Team Highlights

Game on!

From championships won to longstanding records broken, our teams continue to showcase outstanding performances on the court, track, and field. Here are a few spotights of some of the more memorable recent highlights and achievements from our Nighthawks.

Nothing But History

Varsity basketball set its sights high from the start of the winter 2025–26 season, and by championship night, the Nighthawks were ready. With a hard-fought win over Riverdale, an undefeated 7–0 AAIS regular season, and a 21–6 overall record, the team captured Nightingale’s first-ever NYSAIS State Basketball Championship.

Champions in the Fast Lane

Varsity swimming made waves during the winter 2024–25 season, capturing the program’s first-ever NYSAIS state title in a meet that showcased both speed and depth. Facing 17 schools from across New York, the Nighthawks won by 36 points, broke eight school records, and turned a season of belief and team-first focus into history.

Hitting Their Stride

After seasons of steady growth, varsity indoor track & field broke through during the winter 2024–25 season, winning the program’s first-ever NYSAIS title. Competing against 26 schools, the Nighthawks built their 29-point victory across sprints, distance, relays, jumps, and throws—a true team championship from start to finish.

Making Waves Beyond the Pool

Ali W. ’27 was named one of New York’s Most Positive Athletes, recognized not only for her success in the water but for the impact she has made beyond it. Through Turning the Tide, Ali helped expand access to swim lessons for hundreds of New York City children, showing how leadership, purpose, and sport can move together.

Signed, Sealed, and Soaring

On National Girls & Women in Sports Day, Nightingale celebrated three Nighthawks taking their game to the next level. Kardene A. ’26, Ashi B. ’26, and Audrey P. ’26 marked their college commitments to Stony Brook, Williams, and Washington and Lee—a signing day shaped by grit, speed, and miles of hard work.
