Alumnae Panelists Offer Advice to the Class of 2026

Lauren T. Kessler '12, Kada Hyde ’14, and Katherine Lipman '12 speaking to members of the Class of 2026

After the annual Kindergarten walk up, seniors gathered in the Upper School Commons to meet with a panel of six alumnae, including Kada Hyde ’14 who was there on the first day of Kindergarten for these seniors! The other panelists included Aarati Cohly '12, Samantha Fleming ’13, Lauren T. Kessler '12, Katherine Lipman '12, and Mia Silvan-Grau ’14. These alumnae spoke with the seniors about their first years of college and transitions into their professional lives. They advised the seniors to have fun during their final year at Nightingale and to be kind to one another in the college application process. And, to not be afraid to switch majors as career paths may not be linear!

"Every time I return to Nightingale, I’m increasingly impressed by the depth of thought and curiosity the students bring to their questions. A recurring theme during the panel was how uniquely Nightingale prepares students with strong soft skills, something that truly stood out throughout our discussion," Aarati reflected. "From navigating challenging work environments to deciding whether to pursue graduate school or entrepreneurship, the students’ questions reflected a remarkable level of maturity, introspection, and forward thinking."
