Ashi capped off an outstanding year of distance running with another strong spring outdoor track season. She ran a PR in the 1500m—which was the second fastest time in school history—and broke the school record in the 3000m in her first time racing the event outdoors. At AAIS Championships, she placed second in the 800m, 1500m, and as part of the 4x400m relay, and followed that up with a third place finish in the 1500m at NYSAIS, earning a spot at New York State Federations on June 14.

Her Upper School success is the culmination of a remarkable year that included winning the AAIS Indoor Track and Field Championship, a third place finish at NYSAIS Cross Country, school records in both the 1000m and 3000m in indoor track, multiple AAIS indoor titles, and a trip to Nike Indoor Nationals. Ashi will continue her running career at Williams College next year, competing in both cross country and track.
