Broadway Star Visits Middle School Assembly
After reading The Outsiders in their English course, Class VII watched this classic novel come alive on the Broadway stage. Earlier that day, they heard from Broadway star Emma Pittman who plays Cherry Valance, one of the leading roles, and were able to congratulate her on an incredible performance at the stage door afterwards.
"It was really cool to see the characters come to life. Even though the book shared more details, it was nice to see the story from a different point of view. Our favorite part was the rumble with the slow motion fight scene and flickering lights," Estee F. '31 & Jordyn M. '31 reflected.
