Matinees at The Met with Class X
In early April, Class X continued a sophomore tradition and participated in the “Matinees at the MET” program—attending a final dress rehearsal of Rossini’s The Barber of Seville. Post-performance, they had the wonderful opportunity to attend an exclusive talkback with the world-renowned tenor and star of the opera, Lawrence Brownlee. Prior to the performance, Dr. Dakouras, classics department chair and opera aficionado, prepared students for the experience with an introduction to the opera and the composer.
