Measuring the Wind: Class III Builds Anemometers

Class III students are learning about how weather and climate affect our daily lives. In recent lessons, they have investigated the conditions that make it possible to fly a kite, considering how wind can influence its flight. To better understand how wind speed is measured, students built their own anemometers and tested designs made from different materials. By comparing their results, students practiced observing, experimenting, and using evidence to determine which materials worked best.
