Reunited at 92nd Street
This May, alumnae from classes ending in 1 and 6 returned to the Schoolhouse for a joyful day of connection, reflection, and Nightingale pride.
On Friday, May 15, Nightingale welcomed alumnae back through the blue doors for Reunion 2026, a joyful celebration of classes ending in 1 and 6. The day brought together Nighthawks across generations for a full slate of events, including a 50th Reunion Breakfast for the Class of 1976, a State of the School conversation with Head of School Paul A. Burke and Assistant Head of School for Faculty and Instruction Yabome Casper, the Reunion Luncheon, career networking, archive moments, Schoolhouse tours, and an all-alumnae cocktail reception.
Throughout the day, alumnae reconnected with classmates, faculty, and the Schoolhouse itself, revisiting favorite memories while learning more about Nightingale today and the school’s vision for the future. The luncheon also included the Alumnae Association induction of the Class of 2026 and honored this year’s Distinguished Alumnae Award recipients: Marguerite B. Colson ’06, recipient of the Alumnae Achievement Award, and Devon Beddard Caraher ’96, recipient of the Alumnae Service Award.
The Alumnae Circle Grows
Alumnae gathered in the Susan Hecht Tofel ’48 Gymnasium for the Reunion Luncheon and Alumnae Induction, a celebration of Nightingale connections across generations. The program included remarks from Alumnae Board President Naomi White Randolph ’93 P’27, recognition of this year’s Distinguished Alumnae Award recipients, and the formal induction of the Class of 2026 into the Alumnae Association.
Letters, Links, and Legacy
The afternoon offered alumnae a chance to connect across class years, industries, and shared Nightingale experiences. Through Nighthawk Networking, archival displays, yearbooks, and ceremonial class letters for select Reunion classes, alumnae looked back on the stories that shaped them while building new connections for the years ahead.
Generations Over Tea
Following their 50th The Class of 1976 caught up with our Class of 2034 over afternoon tea and cookies. It was a beautiful moment of intergenerational connection, filled with laughter, shared stories, and a fascinating look at what life at the Schoolhouse looked like in the 1970s versus today. Some things change, but the spirit remains exactly the same!
Raising the Cup
The Class of 1996 earned this year’s Reunion Cup, leading all milestone reunion classes with 68% participation in the Nightingale Fund. Their strong showing was celebrated during the All-Alumnae Cocktail Reception, where alumnae gathered to toast the class’s generosity, spirit, and continued connection to Nightingale. Thank you to all reunion-year alumnae who took part in the Race for the Reunion Cup and helped make this year’s effort such a success.
