Robotics Team Wins Competition
Nighthawk Robotics had a stellar showing at the FTC Qualifier match in late January where they competed against 26 other robotics teams from around NYC. They finished the qualifying matches ranked third, which allowed them to select an alliance partner and enter the playoffs of the day. Teamed up with Tottenville High School, they proceeded to win the entire competition. This is one of the best performances in Nighthawk Robotics history and Nightingale is immensely proud of their hard work.
In addition, they won their second Control Award for our autonomous programming (which means they can make the robot move without anyone using the controller). Congrats to everyone on the team who all played crucial roles and worked incredibly hard to reach this milestone: Misha M. ’28, Samara A. ’28, Alex S. ’27, Annabel B. ’27, Ash W. ’27, Claire L. ’27, Elyssa M. ’27, Fiona L. ’27, Sukhayna E. ’27, Summer D. ’27, Shrujana I. ’26, Morgan G. ’25 (co-captain), and Isabelle C. ’25 (co-captain).
