The AAIS league has issued a statement canceling interscholastic competition for the Fall 2020 Athletic season. Nightingale will align with our league and not offer competitive interscholastic sports this Fall. While this is disappointing news, the health and safety of our students and faculty remain at the forefront of our decisions. Nightingale will continue to work closely with the AAIS schools on the safe return of interscholastic competition and remain hopeful that Fall teams will compete at some point this year.

As a result of this decision, we have developed new programs for the fall. Nightingale will offer group training where we will focus on individualized skills during our PE classes and on Wednesdays. More information on these new programs will be shared directly with families.

Our new program for classes VII-XII will provide an opportunity for students to be a part of an individualized curriculum. Including this into the curriculum remains a priority, as physical activity plays such an important role in student’s lives, especially for their mental, social, and physical health. It is our hope that the programs and routines they begin this fall will remain with them beyond the semester.
