In their science class, third graders just started a unit on motion and design. In this unit, students use K’nex building pieces to design and build vehicles to test how their motion can be affected. In this particular class, students were introduced to the materials and had some time for free exploration. Students had the chance to not only practice using K’nex, but prepare to use the materials in a more directed way in future lessons.
