January 27 marked the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, recognized globally as Holocaust Remembrance Day. Students in Classes VII–XII were invited to a screening of a USC Shoah Foundation webinar, which featured video testimonies, photographs, and other primary sources documenting the experiences of survivors and liberators. They viewed the first half hour of the webinar, which included firsthand accounts from U.S. military servicemen who witnessed the liberation of the camps and the Nazi atrocities committed there.
