During their studies of Calder’s Circus, students visited the Whitney Museum to see Alexander Calder’s work in person, and then later created their own circus in art class. With a jolly tune playing in the background, each first grader used various materials to bring their act to life on a miniature stage, demonstrating their creativity and imagination with flipping, hopping, and dancing.
