Shaping Creativity
At the beginning of each class, Lower School artists engage in a two to three minute "drawing challenge." Students are given a simple shape outline, and asked to "draw what they see." In this class, students were prompted to use the shape depicted in the image above, and students let their creativity flow, each drawing something different in their sketchbooks. This activity provides students with the opportunity to think deeply and creatively about what is possible, which are skills that lend themselves so well to problem-solving and thinking expansively.
