The Rose Petal Waltz

Class III Dancers recently performed a version of Isadora Duncan’s 15th Brahms Waltz from her masterwork “The Many Faces of Love,” which she choreographed between 1910–1912. Duncan said that she originally improvised the dance as a thank you and an encore for an exuberant audience who had thrown dozens of roses on the stage during her bow. Drawing inspiration from these words, Class III students had the chance to gracefully scatter their own rose petals throughout their performances.
