In a recent Math Lab, Upper School Advanced Calculus students discussed infinite series and limits. At that level, the idea explores what happens to functions or graphs when they reach very high values, such as 100000000 or infinity. Do they converge into a numerical value—or do they diverge? This idea is needed when mathematicians are exploring concepts of patterns in real life.
