Class IX’s Digital Imaging class is all about repetition and practice. In this particular project, students get acquainted with the filter gallery in Photoshop, and work on resizing images, copying, pasting, applying filters from the gallery, and naming the layer that it's on with that filter effect. This series helps them remember what different layer effects look like in the program. That way, when they move on to projects where they have a lot more choices, they may remember a certain filter that they liked and choose to apply it to a component of whatever they are working on.
